Finse

A few weeks ago I had a trip to Finse with my old travelling companions. The temperature fell to a freezing -37 celcius outside, colder than I've ever experienced in a tent. Life inside was quite comfortable due to a good heater. Great dinners with ducks breast and red wine didn't make it worse. I love the contrast of living in the wild and enjoying food that is at least as good as the food you serve at home. During the night the temperature fell to about -25 celcius inside the tent, but a new sleeping bag made even the night quite comfortable.

My Canon 20D surprisingly enough worked fine in the cold, even though it it had to endure changes warm and moist air inside the tent and the freezing air outside. However, the batteries had a hard time, giving me only 4-5 shots before I had to return them to my warm pockets.
